Welcome to Drawn to Detroit, a collection of freehand drawings created by Detroiter Leah Carroll. Inspired by the city and its history, beauty, charm, and tradition, Leah started Drawn to Detroit as the result of an assignment from her graduate program at Wayne State University. The process of creating the original drawings and digital prints became a creative outlet in between the grind of work and grad school, ultimately redirecting her to one of her true passions- drawing. 

Drawn to Detroit is a way to explore the city and give reverence to its landmarks, hot spots, and iconic, must-visit places! Each drawing is created either in real time while viewing the building, or by working from a photograph taken of the structure in its current state. Through her art, Leah strives to show the reasons so many people are “drawn” from near and far to visit the comeback city and witness its renaissance!
